Tustan developed the 'impede' skill one afternoon while fighting a vicious
gnome. He wound up to headstrike his enemy but tripped and ended up just
sticking his sword out. To his surprise, the gnome missed his next attack as it
clanged off his blade. A few days later, Tustan tried the same thing while
wielding a club against an orc. The orc smacked his club into the next room and
punched Tustan straight on the nose, at which point Tustan realized that this
skill only works with a big weapon one can grip with two hands. Not really a
parry, and certainly not a graceful thing, the 'impede' skill can nevertheless
be quite effective as the fighter uses their two handed weapon to slow attacks.
