The Blinding Lash is the name given to a combat technique learnt by every
Necromancer as they advance to the mid levels, and provides them with a way to
debilitate an enemy by physical, rather than magical, means. A whip is
required, and it must be suitably heavy and dangerous to carry a real sting -
and the tougher the victim you wish to use it on, the stronger it needs to be.
The Necromancer then lashes the target horizontally across the face with the
whip, and with luck will either cause injury to the eyes or blood from the
wound to pour into the eyes. Either way the result is the same - the target
will be unable to see for some time and during this time will fight at a huge
disadvantage. For a minor injury, where the target need merely keep the blood
from his eyes, the effect will last only briefly, but a serious injury will
take longer to heal.
