Not the most graceful of skills, the 'chop' skill is nevertheless one of the
most effective. The 'chop' was developed by the fighter Lan who, while out
hunting for firewood one day, used his sword to deliver a series of sharp,
brutal blows to a tree (that unfortunately turned out to be a druid in
disguise). Seeing how quickly he chewed through the wood, Lan tried the same
technique in battle. The 'chop' is well suited to the blade, which has both the
cutting ability and the versatility to deliver short, quick blows but it can be
done with a blunt weapon - more of a bludgeon than a chop. Two handed weapons,
because they are so heavy, have a chance to knock the opponent to the ground
for a round or two.
