But Rangers are not just able to make<br /> arrows....they are able to make very GOOD arrows, and some rather unusual ones<br /> too.<br /> <br /> The fletching ability falls into two main catagories: the ability to make new<br /> arrows, and the ability to re-balance and improve existing arrows. By typing<br /> &#039;fletch &lt;arrow&gt;&#039;, the Ranger can take a normal arrow and improve its<br /> effectiveness by changing the fletchings (feathers) and carving special grooves<br /> into it which cause it to spin in flight - giving greater range and puncturing<br /> power. This can only be done to non-Ranger made arrows, as the Ranger specific<br /> ones have this done to them by default.<br /> <br /> Allowable Terrains: Anywhere<br /> <br /> The other use is to &#039;fletch new &lt;type&gt; arrow&#039;, which will allow a ranger in a<br /> wooded area to create a new arrow altogether. It is actually quite difficult to<br /> create a properly flighted arrow from simple sticks and so this is much harder<br /> than the previous usage. The types which can be made are:<br /> Normal, Bodkin, Flaming, Bull-Tipped, Frost, Poison and Silver.<br /> <br /> Allowable Terrains: Forest, Jungle, Treetops<br /> <br /> Rumour has it that more are being developed though.
