While Demonic denizens of the Abyss and festering Undead are the normal foes a
Cleric Hero must contend with, there are times that other enemies must be
defeated. Whether it be a Neutral druid who is sending her Ents to attack
spreading villages, or even a nominally 'good' zealot who is oppressing the
weak in a misguided attempt to defeat what he sees as evil, at these times
Scourge will not be effective.

The Cleric Handy DeRandy first prayed for, and received, the miracle known as
Flame Strike. It is as devastating as Scourge, but is not limited to only
striking evil, and does not have any bonuses vs creatures of the lower planes
like Demons, Devils and Undead. It also costs significantly more than Scourge
to cast, as the Cleric must work harder to entreat Brangwen to strike down one
less obviously Evil. However, its versatility and effectiveness make it a very
useful addition to a Clerics arsenal.

It should be noted that while this miracles calls down fire, it is HOLY fire,
not MAGIC fire. Thus fire protection will defend against it, but magic
protection will not.
