It was not long, however, before he realised that, by making<br /> them in his image and setting them against an opponent in combat, the confusion<br /> caused allowed him extra time to work his magic before the REAL him could be<br /> discovered.<br /> <br /> Thus we have the Mirror Image spell. It creates a number of duplicate images<br /> of the caster which move and fight as if they were the real thing. These images<br /> are purely illusionary though and so inflict no damage in combat, nor can they<br /> be killed.
