New page

'''--=== Help for Necromancer Command (plague) ===--'''
'''Syntax: Plague'''

'''Plague'''<br>
This is a most enjoyable ritual to perform as the suffering it can cause is
delightfully widespread. The Necromancer infects herself with a virulent,
debilitating disease which causes weakness, occasional blindness, vomiting and
so on, and which will lay her low temporarily. However, with the hardened
resistance to disease common to all who deal with the dead, it will soon go
into remission and the effects will fade. However, from the moment she first
felt ill until she starts to feel better again, she will be highly infectious,
and during this time anyone she comes into contact with will run the risk of
becoming infected. The more time she spends with a person the higher the risk.
Close physical contact (eg hugging/kissing) will greatly increase the infection
rate.

Those infected will suffer more terribly than the caster, both in duration and
effect, and they themselves also become carriers. In this way plague and
pestilence can sweep the land rapidly, leaving a trail of corpses in its wake.
A perfect time, perhaps, for an undead army to strike....

Due to the complexity of the ritual and the strain upon the caster's
constitution, this ritual may only be performed at most once a month and will
cause the loss of one point of constitution each time. The caster will,
however, gain some experience for each person infected (the higher their level
the better), so she will have a vested interst in the plague running rampant.

Cost: 200mp<br>
