He perfected the art of hiding in the shadows,<br /> a very good way to stake out a location until a suitable victim comes along.<br /> <br /> You can only hide in a room if it isn&#039;t too well lit, and can maintain this<br /> indefinitely if you do not move and are not attacked or perform an action that<br /> may reveal you. If you are hidden before doing an action like backstabbing or<br /> garotting you will gain an advantage as the victim is not even aware of your<br /> presence!<br /> <br /> By virtue of the fact that you are less familiar with certain terrains like<br /> deserts and swamps, it takes more skill to hide in these locations. Also note<br /> that you may never hide from fellow rogues who are more skilled than yourself;<br /> they will always notice you lurking in the shadows!<br /> <br /> Especially skilful rogues will be able to blend in with the shadows and wander<br /> unseen from room to room.
