The caster then need only concentrate on an<br /> individual that is known to them, and the clouds will slowly part to reveal<br /> this individuals location. Although the surface through which the target is<br /> being viewed is a gate rather than a mirror per se, the name &#039;Scrying Mirror&#039;,<br /> it was decided, sounded better than &#039;Scrying Gate&#039;.<br /> <br /> All Warmages, whether able to cast this spell or not, are able to block the<br /> effects of scrying by others, both by this spell, and most other scrying<br /> devices. All a mage need do is type &#039;scry block on&#039; and he cannot be scried by<br /> any means whatsoever. At higher levels it gets better - at first one simply<br /> cannot be scried. As one&#039;s mastery improves, one will begin to be able to<br /> detect when a scrying attempt has been made (&#039;scry block silent&#039; may be used to<br /> suppress this warning, and &#039;scry block warn&#039; can be used to receive the warning<br /> without actually blocking the attempt), and finally, at high level, one will be<br /> able to cause false details to be sent back.
