Serenity is a spell which can be of great benefit to a Druid and to certain of
his friends. Druids and many other classes rely on maintaining a specific
alignment for optimal effectiveness, but at times, especially at high level, he
may end up battling foes more good than evil or vice versa. While in the longer
term the Druid should vary his opponents to maintain the balance, and indeed
can meditate back at the Henge to help achieve that inner calm, when deep in
enemy territory his spells can begin to weaken as his alignment sways.

The Serenity spell is designed to address this. When cast on the Druid it
'steadies' his alignment, meaning that his alignment moves only a quarter as
much with each enemy vanquished than it would have done normally. It can also
be cast on others, although the effect is only half as much on them.
