Lunge
Although not a very stealthy move or indeed particularly clever, the lunge can be very effective. Simply wait for your opponent to let their guard down and then leap forward, skewering them with your sword or knife. The first to perfect this technique was the appropriately named Lance, a name which once struck terror in many (before they tied several bricks to his feet and dropped him in the Andurin).

Lunging at a flanked opponent will have the additional benefit of causing them to bleed profusely.
