--=== Help for Ranger Command (hunt) ===--

Syntax: Hunt <animal>

Game Hunting
Just as a low level Ranger learns to forage to stave off hunger, his more senior comrades also learn techniques to provide them with food. Rather than plants, though, a more experienced Ranger can learn to hunt small game, and even to bring down larger creatures.

Thus there are two basic forms of this ability. Firstly, a Ranger can just 'hunt' - in which case he will look for any small animals in the vicinity, and attempt to bring them down with his bow. Secondly, should there be a large animal in the room, such as a Deer, Bear or the like, he can attempt to 'hunt <name>' to bring it down. While this will yield only a fraction of the normal experience from killing the creature normally, the ranger will be able to slice meat from the dead corpse of such a creature, saving it to eat at a later time. It can also quickly remove any dangerous animals that are threatening the Rangers safety.

It is worth mentioning that this will only work on natural, animal-intelligence creatures - the Rangers knowledge of locations on the target that will yield an instant kill does not extend beyond basic fauna. It is also exceptionally unlikely that any creature more intelligent than a normal animal will be able to be surprised sufficiently to get a accurate shot off.

Allowable Terrains: Forest, Hills, Jungle, Plains, Mountains, Coast and Swamp.
Cost: 90 sp
