Arrow Volley
As a Ranger continues to advance herself, she gains in magical as well as material arts. While still unable to wield magical forces to the same degree as even the most novice Warmage, a Ranger is, unlike the Warmage, able to combine her magic with potent martial skills to cause extremely deadly effects.

The Arrow Volley is perhaps the first such example gained - as it combines the power of an arrow in flight with a very basic Creation spell. The Ranger shoots an arrow at the target, but at the point that the arrow lets fly, she speaks the command word of the spell and the arrow splits in flight to become a deadly rain of projectiles. Although this splitting does reduce the punch of the original arrow, this is made up for by the sheer number of missiles.

The arrows maintain a very very close formation, so there is no more danger of striking targets other than the intended than with a normal arrow shot. It has also been noted that injured targets have been known to flee in fear at the sight of so many projectiles hurtling towards them.
