Syntax: Empathy

Empathy
This spell allows you to reach out to any animals or plants in the room, and will give you an indication of their toughness. Your knowledge of natural fauna and flora means that this indication will be extremely accurate.

Once you have mastered the level of skill available to an Initiate of the First Circle, you can begin to discern the strengths of other creatures too, although to a less accurate degree. Such unnatural beings as devils, demons, undead or creatures with extreme alignments can never be correctly gauged, however.

The spell will compare your raw combat potential, including any direct buffs you have or debuffs on your opponent, but does NOT include casting additional damaging (eg Lightning) or healing (eg Revive) type spells
