Syntax: Chain <target>

Chain Lightning
The Chain Lightning spell is based strongly upon Call Lightning, but instead of earthing as soon as it strikes a target, the magically enhanced bolt of chain lightning will arc from creature to creature in the room, until it eventually expends it's energy. The initial target, which can be either specified, or if not, will default to the Druids current opponent, will take full damage, and the bolt will then arc to the nearest creature. This arcing is quite indiscriminate - any living creature is just as likely as any other to be hit, irrespective of whether it is friendly to the Druid or not. Indeed, if there is only one more living creature in the room apart from the Druid at any point, SHE will become a valid target! The bolt will earth immediately if there are less than two living creatures in the room. A prudent Druid will often be sure to have up a Protection from Air to reduce the possibility of disaster.

Every arc reduces the power of the bolt, and after a certain number, it will fizzle out entirely. Note that it CAN strike a single creature more than once. Suppose it has energy to arc 6 times, but there are only two targets - each will be struck 3 times! The spell otherwise has the same limitations as Call Lightning.
