Holy Sentinel
There are times when a stalwart Cleric needs to hold off impossibly hard forces of Darkness to protect his allies and hold the line. Sometimes a mere mortal could not hope to prevail and at such times a Holy Sentinel can be called upon.

The Sentinel is a direct servant of the Cleric's God, and will descend from the Heavens to aid the Cleric directly. While the Sentinel hovers overhead all damage done to the Cleric will be reduced by 80%, no matter what the source. This can literally be a life saver, and while the effect is extremely short, merely a few seconds, for those seconds the caster becomes almost divine himself, able to resist virtually any attack.

This miracle is unusual in that it has no cast time, and requires no prayer be actually uttered. The Cleric need only wish for aid in his minds eye, and the Sentinel will respond. It has never been known to be refused.
