Bandage
--=== Help for Ranger Command (bandage) ===--
Syntax: Bandage <limb> on <target>
Apply Bandage
While Rangers are not overly violent by nature, it is perhaps inevitable that
combat needs to be sometimes joined, and wounds are often received. Now
although a Ranger cannot heal such wounds by any magical methods, what he or
she can certainly do is bandage a limb to prevent it from bleeding. Most of the
time the minor wounds received do not need such treatment, but should a limb be
severed altogether, this ability can be a life-saver - especially out in the
Wilds, where Rangers spend most of their time.
A Ranger can 'bandage <limb>' to stop the bleeding on one of his own limbs, or
'bandage <limb> on <whom>' to apply the bandage to another. Note though that
this is slightly harder, and it is possible to make matters worse rather than
better.
Cost: 45sp.
Should a Ranger be unfortunate enough to lose a major limb such as an arm or leg the amount of blood flowing freely from the severed arteries supplying their hands or feet can be truly gruesome. It is therefore fortunate that a technique for applying bandages has been discovered to completely stem this blood flow. This technique naturally requires more in the way of bandages and takes slightly more effort.
Allowable Terrains: Anywhere.
Cost: 60sp.
