Syntax: Doom <target>
Creeping Doom
A Druid's ability to summon plants and animals to her aid is not limited to the
large creatures of the Realms. Insects, arachnids, and the like will all too
answer her call. The Creeping Doom spell is perhaps the ultimate in the
summoning spells, because it calls fully five hundred to a thousand flying,
swarming, poisonsous insects, arachnids, and myriapods to her, and directs them
to swarm over a target in the room. As many of the small insects as possible
will bite the target, the number depending on the size of the target (ie around
70 could bite a human per round, 120 for a giant, 24 for a faerie etc), each
inflicting a single point of damage, irrespective of armour, although any form
of magical armour will completely nullify any damage for a *single round*. Each
creature dies after its attack, so the swarms number begins to reduce. Every
round thereafter, the swarm will attack any and every non-druid being in the
room in the same way, and will continue to do so until there are either no
targets left, or there are no more insects left in the swarm. The swarm will
not dissipate should there be no targets left, but will, after a while, begin
to move. Any non druids in any room the swarm passes through will be attacked
as above. Fortunately for people nearby, the swarm will lose some of its number
every round, and so will eventually disband by itself.
