Poison

My more potent recipes are based on the rarer plants found in the jungle and swamps to the south of the guild. The fungi used can be found in the woodlands and plains. Common plants can be found in most other locations but if you're struggling you can always try the mountains.

Remember, 'Revenge is a dish best served laced.'

Venom

These poisons must be applied directly to the bloodstream, first envenom your knife or sharded whip and then twist or lash to apply. Damaging venom requires the common plants found in most areas.

Baneberry: Simplest of the venoms, damages the victim.
Belladonna: Similar to Baneberry, but significantly stronger.
Webcap: Fungal extract which gives the victim a headache.
Bloodtorch: A venom which burns the victim's blood.
Chillvein: Venom which makes the victim feel like their blood is freezing.
Deathcap: Potent fungal extract which causes muscles to spasm.
Arsenic: Venom which damages the vital organs, very deadly.
Gutpunch: Extremely painful, targeting the intestines.
Hunter: Excruciating pain, can rupture blood vessels.

Poisons

These poisons are not suitable for injection, but must be ingested. Find some food or drink and lace with the poison.

Fungal poison:

  • Deathonastick: Causes agonising muscle spasms and paralysis.

Exotic plant poison:

  • Metz: An extremely powerful emetic.
  • Grothalbrew: Psychotropic hallucinogen, very entertaining.
  • Cloro: Soporific. The victim begins to feel sleepy, eventually lapsing into unconsciousness for a short while.
  • Strycdumb: Swells the victim's throat rendering them unable to speak.

Beneficial chemicals

These poisons rather than damaging or debilitating your enemies can help a rogue themselves in combat. Simply ingest these poisons to gain their effects, but do take care not to mix different types as a toxic reaction can occur.

Ingestible plant-based poisons:

  • Granite: Causes scaling and crusting of the skin.
  • Obsidian: Temporary rapid ossification of the outer layer of skin.

Ingestible fungal-based poisons:

  • Quartz: Magic-repelling properties of this fungus are absorbed into the skin.
  • Crystal: Concentrated magic-repelling essence.

Ingestible exotic plant-based poisons:

  • Cinnabar: Boosts the adrenalin response, speeding up physical attacks.
  • Mercury: Causes an extreme adrenal response.
  • Stallion: A fast acting burst of stamina.
