Soul Bind
The Soul Bind is an extremely potent and complex ritual known only to the most powerful of Necromancers. To perform the ritual, a HeartStone must be obtained and infused with some of the living energy of the caster. This process is draining, and for as long as the infused HeartStone exists, the caster will need to continue to expend his own energy to keep it fully charged.

Once the HeartStone is prepared the ritual can be used upon whichever unwitting victim takes your fancy. While there is no immediate effect to the victim, a spiritual link is set up between the target and the HeartStone, and should the victim die while the ritual is active, their soul will be sucked from their body and trapped within the Stone. While so trapped they cannot be raised from the dead and they can be further tormented by the caster. Further details on these torments can be found under 'nhelp heartstones'.
