While those Warmages who specialise in Arcane or Elemental pursuits may have toys that are flashy in nature, it is Demonology that embodies true power. It is a major drawback of the magical arts that the best defensive spell, shroud, also interferes with healing, and while others may blaze away as glass cannons before being forced to retreat, a Demonologist has other options. By channeling energy not from the Elemental or Positive/Negative Planes, but instead from the Abyssal depths, a Demonologist can craft a bolt of Demonic energy that not only does damage, but also drains life from the opponent, funneling it to the caster. Most importantly, this channel passes through Shroud without triggering it.
