Cleave
The cleave skill is one of the basic cuts (or crushing blows if using a blunt or staff) that fighters master early in their learning. The motion is simple - an effort to slice the opponent like butter from head to sternum. Although the motion can be used with blunts and staves, fighters will find that the lack of cutting with those weapons makes them less effective. The 'cleave' skill, in fact, is ideal for the blade, which can be whipped towards the opponent's head and torso with devastating speed.
