Welcome to the Necromancer Cabal

Necromancers

Necromancers are despicably evil beings who worship dark, forbidden Gods and who view life as a disease. They have formed pacts with evil forces and sacrificed their own humanity for power. Necromancers are, and can only be diabolically evil, as their power comes from pain, suffering and slaughter. While other adventurers may have scant regard for the life of others, Necromancers take this a stage further and consider even their own livesan affliction. Thus they strive towards the ideal of Undeath - that state where with eternal longevity they can spread misery forever.

As Necromancers advance they become less and less like the living creatures they once were. Indeed, at some levels it is necessary to die in order to advance, while at other times only the specifically sacrificed blood of an innocent will permit their advancement.

It is not possible to become a Necromancer initially. Instead you must begin as another class and, once you have discovered how, create a brand new level 1 Necromancer and walk a much darker path. Likewise the path of a Necromancer is one of feverous commitment and as such they may not multi-class, nor may others multi-class to them.

Drakenwood finds Necromancers to be reprehensible, and thus they may ALWAYS be killed out of hand by other adventurers without any comeback. This makes the Necromancers road very difficult indeed! They are not, however, without guile and at low levels Necromancers survive more through cunning than might.

Necromancers need good intelligence and wisdom to understand the dark arts, and good dexterity to allow their ungodly rituals to be performed.
